Department of Art and Culture,Tamil Nadu inaugurated Tamil language, music and dance classes to promote and preserve the various form of Tamil culture to the younger generation at Tamil Nadu Illam on 18.09.2018.The chief guest of the program was K. PandiyaRajan ,Cultural minister.Shri.Muruganandam, IAS, Principal President Commissioner, Tamil Nadu Illam invited our students of DTEA, Motibagh to participate in the cultural program. Our students of class 9thAjit, Sakthivel, Aryan, Karthika and student of class12thRevathi performed one of the material art of Tamil Nadu, silambam.Their performance was appreciated by each and every one present ,specially by minister.

CHILDREN SCIENCE CONGRESS : Our studentsparticipated in Children Science Congress ,held on 27.08.2018 at GSVSB,NO-1,Sarojini Nagar,Delhi.Students of class VIIth Sumit Kumar and Deepak Pokriyal bagged 2nd position at junior level and students of Utkarsh and Utstav bagged 3rd position at senior level and become eligible to participate at next district level.
SCIENCE EXHIBITION : The main theme of the exhibition was scientific solution to the challenges in life. Our students of class xth Abishek Chandyok and Priyanshu Ranjan participated on sub theme waste management on topic “House Hold Waste Management”, bagged 1st position and got selected to participate at district level competition.
SPORTS ACTIVITIES : Our school participated various sports activities at zonal level. The following are the achievements:
4 X 100m :1st position at senior level,3rd position at junior level and 2nd position at sub junior level.

Our school celebrated Independence Day with patriotic fervour on Aug 14,2018 in the special assembly. Shri.Vaithiyanathan and P.K.Ganesan Ayerwere our chief guest from old students Alumni, Banyan Tree, New Delhi. The program started with prayer and our senior teacher welcomed the chief guest with a bouquet of roses.Our chief guests unfurled the National flag and everybody rejoiced their voices to sing National Anthem. They delivered a speech highlighting the sacrifices made by our great freedom fighters and also advised the students to follow our great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose etc. This was followed by dance on patriotic song by primary students, group song in Hindi performed by middle school students and skit on V.O.C was enacted by senior students.The function ended with vote of thanks by our senior teacher Mr.RangaRajan.
As per the initiative of honourable secretary DTEA(regd.) Shri.R.Raju our school hosted a full day teacher training program on 28.04.2018.In this training program.Teachers were exposed to various teaching strategies to assist students for overcoming learning difficulties. In all 25 teachers from DTEA schools MandirMarg, Motibagh and R.K.Purum participated.The resource persons of this session were Shmt.KamalaSubramanian,English teacher(retd.)Ramjas school, Shmt. Kalpana ,Shmt.JyothiGoyal, former Principal(retd.),Ramjas school.The resource personsshared their expertise to enhance teaching strategies at every level. This work shop not only equipped the teachers with the necessary pedagogy of teaching but also pedagogy of learning experience which will in turn to be implemented to the learners in the class room.The event was graced by our alumni Smt. Vatsala, Shmt.Padmaja,Shmt.Radhika, Shri. Kanagasabesan.
Our school celebrated the birth anniversary of Tamil poet, Puratchi kavi Bharathidasan on 28.04 2018 in the school premises. The program was organised by Tamil Literacy Club ,DTEA Motibagh and started with homage to portrait of Bharathidashan by Shri.Hari Krisnan, Principal.A symposium (kalanthuraiyadal) was presented by students of class IX, emphasizing poet’s contributions towards socio-political literary works and difference in marabu kavithai and pudhukavithai. This is followed by Bharathidasan’s song sung with actions by class VII students about Tamilin Inimai. Class IX students recited the poet’s poem of equality and fraternity. World book day was celebrated on 23.04.2018 to develop reading habits among students.Vinayakof class X-std delivered a speech on “Importance of reading books and its benefits. Students displayed colourful charts on this special day. Librarian,Shri.SanjayDabasexhibited latest addition of the books available in the market in the Library. Our school library is maintaining “Book Bank”.It contains collection of books which was donated by students and teachers. On this special day, books were given to underprivileged studentsof our school at free of cost from book bank.It inculcatedthe habit of lending hands to others and also promoted generosity among students.Principal ,Shri .G.Harikrishnan appreciated and encouraged the student’s kind-heartedness .
Our school celebrated World Earth Day on the 21st April 2018 in the school premises. On this occasion, a special assembly was held in the school to bring awareness among the students about planet Earth, how to save planet from destructive path and to learn how we can make a difference by practising healthy habits of sustainability. The programme started with speech on Save Earth by Adarsh of class X- std,followed by song sung by primary students about Mother Earth. Tiny tots of primary students appreciated and thanked the mother Earth by narrating the amazing facts through slogans and poems. The highlight of the programme was the Street play on topic “Save Earth and protect life on Earth” performed by class X - std students. In which they enacted how students have to follow healthy habits in their day to day life to save Earth. Students of class IX- std, emphasized the ill effects of Plastics and insisted the students and teachers not to use plastics.Class IX - std and X- std students executed the Dance Drama on topic “Save Trees and Save Earth”. Our school ECO club organised the poster making competition. Those students who excelled well in competition were appreciated and encouraged by giving away token of prizes on earth day.Our school Principal Shri.G. Harikrishnanadvised the students to adopt plants and also plant more and more tree saplings tosaveEarth.The celebration concluded with the National Anthem.
World Heritage Day was celebratedon 18.04.2018 in the school special assembly to bring awareness among students about the importance of the cultural heritages and its preservation.An enlightening speech was delivered by Vinayak of class X- std student on heritage India. A quiz competition was conducted in the school assembly on” The historical heritage”.Our school principal Shri. G. Harikrishnan highlighted in his speech that as an Indian we all have to feel proud of the great cultural asset of our Nation.
Our school organised special assembly on 14.04.2018 to celebrate Tamil Puthandu in the school premises.It the first day of the year on the Tamil calendar and also the first day of the Tamil month Chithirai.Harini of class IX, recited the poem by welcoming Tamil New year and Mahalakshmi of class VII, greeted all students and teachers on the eve of Tamil New Year in her poem. AmbedkarJayanti was also observed to commemorate the memory of B.R Ambedkar on his 127th birth anniversary on April 14. A speech was delivered by Abishek of class IX ,highlightingAmbedkar’s life history, his contribution towards framing the country’s constitution and also his service towards the poor people of India. Our school Principal Shri.G.Harikrishnan gave away the prizes for those students who excelled well in competitions conducted by Tamil IllakkyaMandram.
Our school celebrated 136th birth anniversary of Tamil poet ‘Mahakavi’C.Subramania Bharathi on 11.12 2017 in the school premises. The program was organised by Tamil Literacy Club ,DTEA Motibagh and started with homage to portrait of Bharathi by Shri.Hari Krisnan, Principal.Malaswamy of class IX and Harini of class VIII recited the poem of Bharathi. Judith Amalya of class IX and Abhishiek of class VIII delivered the speech in English and Tamil respectively.
Our school D.T.E.A Motibagh conducted “EYE CARE CAMP” from 23rd October 2017 to 30th October 2017.This programme was organised
jointly by MEA-DTEA Alumni-BanyanDelhi and Human Vision Society(NGO) in collaboration with Dr.R.P.Centre for Ophthalmic
Sciences(AIIMS),Delhi. Shmt .Vijiya Lakshmi,former Principal of DTEA took a lead for this programme.
Team of Doctors from Dr.R.P.Centre forOphthalmic Sciences(AIIMS),Delhi examined around 447 students of our school.Students had their eye tested and underwent Screening of Refraction of Eyes. Based on their examination, 47 students were found with refraction problem.Subsequently, these 47 students were provided with spectacles free of charge by Dr.R.P. Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences (AIIMS).It was nice to see the smiling faces of our school children as it provided timely assistance.Two Students from primary section were detected with defect in their retina and they were also recommended for free treatment from AIIMS. Besides, our school staffs were also benefited by undergoing eye test and availed their facility.

dignitaries, parents and students. Principal Shri. Harikrishnan presented the annual report highlighting the achievements of the
school and students. Smt. Raja Rajeswari showed power point presentation in which she highlighted vision, mission and the
achievements of the management especially the parent’s opinion about students performance, safety measures ,facilities and
transformation of infrastructure of DTEA Motibagh School.This was followed by the Prize Distribution ceremony where the Guestsand
D.T.E.A members gave away prizes to the academically meritorious students for the year 2016-17 .They also encouraged and blessed the
students who have excelled in sports.
Cultural programme was organised on theme “MANVASANAI” commenced with vedic age, showcased the Gurukul system followed by Sangam age, underlined the position of women in education. Students performed dance drama BharatNatiyam on Purananooru andMaiyl dance, which portrayed the marriage of Lord Murugan and Valli. Students depicted the participation of freedom fighters of Tamil Nadu in Independence movement of India through dance and drama. Students also enacted the role of Shri.Kamarajar as educational reformer and Dr. Abdul Kalam as a inspiration of youth. Primary students performed a dance, showed the tribute to farmers. Our students performed various dance, featured the pongal festival dance of kummi and folk dance of tamils. The program highlighted the Genesis of Evolutionary change in the education system from ancient period to modern era. Primary students along with senior students illustrated the learning process of modern education through dance drama. ShriRangaRajan, Senior teacher extended vote of thanks to all. The programme culminated with the National Anthem.
On 14th August our school celebrated 70th Independence day.Everybody gathered with joy to enjoy the freedom with enthusiasm. Shri. Srinivasan, NCERT was our chief guest, who was welcomed with a bouquet of roses by our principal Shri.Harikrishnan.Our chief guest unfurled the National flag and everybody rejoiced their voices to sing National Anthem. He delivered a speech on highlighting the active participation of women in freedom struggle. He advised the students to interact with teachers to have more knowledge. 75th Quit India Movement Day was also celebrated. ‘Quit India Movement’ as an important milestone of our freedom struggle, students took a pledge to create a new India that is strong and prosperous. Our cultural programme started with fancy dresses by the primary students. Students delivered a speech on freedom and Quit India Movement.Students showcased the skit in Tamil and beautifully ended by Tamil poem named “Pillars of Freedom”.This was followed by patriotic song and dance in which they expressed the joy of our freedom. Sweets were distributed to the students. The programme ended with vote of thanks by our vice Principal Mrs. Ranjan Gupta. Our school Teachers and students were invited to visualise the 70th Independence day at Red Fort.It was a proud moments for the students.

Cultural program was organized based on theme “INSPIRED…….VIBRANT INDIA FOR HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT” commenced with scintillating Saraswathi vandana dance. This was followed by beautiful group dance and showcased the tribute to Tamil language .Primary students depicted Unity and Diversity of India with their lovely dance. The senior class students performed the musical dance drama based on the “Empowerment of women” in which they portrayed the gender discrimination and also described the social life of the women with sense of equality. While as the primary class students dressed as a leading women personalities and showcased their respect for women. Today, India is leading as a developing country fostering new innovative ideas. The successful execution of the ‘Mangalyan’ project is one such step towards marking its presence in global affairs. The launch of the Mangalyaan was enacted by primary students with dance . The Swach Bharat Abhiyan initiated by our present Prime Minister was beautifully enacted in Hindi by our middle school students with dance drama. Yoga inculcate social values among students. The yoga performed by our students were appreciated by all the guests. This is followed by Tamil drama on ‘Digital India’ in which they highlighted the student’s digital life and transformations towards holistic developments. Our students performed a dance, featured the life of soldiers and their countless sacrifices. Vice Principal, shmt. Ranjana Gupta extended vote of thanks to all.
Finally, the programme ended with a Grand Finale where all the honorable DTEA members, seven school principals, students, teachers and the entire DTEA staff enthusiastically participated and graced the occasion. The programme culminated with the National Anthem. Hon’ble D.T.E.A secretary Shri. R.Raju appreciated the effort of teachers and students and also conveyed his greetings to all.
The constitution day was observed in the school assembly on 26th November 2016 to bring awareness among the students. As it was the day of 26th November 1949 that Indian Constitution was adopted and finally it was enforced on 26th January 1950. Students of class XIth A, B&C performed the process of making constitution where the student enacted as Dr.Rajender Prasad, Dr.B.R.Ambhedkar ,S.Baldev Singh ,Mrs.Sarojni Naidu etc. Quiz competition on “Constitution” was conducted by Mohit Longade of class XI -B in the assembly . Our Vice Principal Mrs. Ranjan Gupta encouraged those students who answered well by distributing chocolates.Our Principal Mr.Harikrishnan appreciated and encouraged the students for their tremendous performance.
Children’s day was celebrated on 11.11.2016 in the school premises .Our school organized inter-house competitions to
mark this occasion and also fetch out the hidden talents of students. Various competitions were held at different levels:At
junior level-Drawing, Card making, and Collage work.
At middle level-Toy making with clay, Jewelry making ,Wall hanging and poster making.At senior level-Slogan writing,Pot decorations,Food without Fire, Rangoli, Mehandi and flower making.
Students of all houses enthusiastically participated. Prizes were given to the winners after proper judgment by the Judges. Chocolates were distributed to all the students.

It is a great pleasure that the exhibit of our school has been selected to participate at state level science exhibition 2016 . This project was guided by Mrs.S.Noorul Ameena ,PGT. Principal Mr.Harikrishnan appreciated the effort of students and teacher and also conveyed his wish to have more participants in future.
Our school celebrated Gandhi jayanthi on 1stoctober 2016 to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Father of Nation –Mahatma Gandhi with zeal, enthusiasm and patriotism. The program started with homage to the portrait of Gandhiji by principal Shri. Hari Krishnan. This was followed by speech delivered by A.Indu of class Xth in Tamil, Maheswari of class Xth in English and Kavitha of class XIIth in Hindi. Students of class VII organized Tamil Conversation on topic “LIFE HISTORY OF GANDHI”. Students displayed the portrait of Mahatma,the model showing Gandhiji with his walking stick and the Charka and also his famous quotes/slogans.
Our school celebrated the birthday of great social revolutionary leader Periyar E.V.Ramasamy on 17th September 2016 in school the premises. Hrish of class XIth and Bharathi of class XIth delivered a speech in English and Tamil respectively. They highlighted Periyar’s principles on rationalism, self- respect ,women’s rights and eradication of caste.
Our school participated in Zonal Level Science Exhibition 2016-17 on 27th and 28th August 2016,held at S. K .V. Sr. Sec. School,
Sarojini Nagar and also in Children Science Congress on 29th August 2016, held at GOVT.BSSS, Sarojini Nagar.This programs were
conducted by Directorate of Education, Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
It was a proud moment to the school that our exhibits displayed by middle on topic “ATM security system” and senior level on topic “Transport and Communications” were got selected to participate in Centre Level Science exhibition 2016-17.
In Children Science Congress ,Class XIth Students delivered a presentation on topic “DYE: An unknown Hazard”,bagged 1st position and also got selected to participate at Centre level.
Our school celebrated 70th Independence Day with great patriotic fervour,zeal and zest.The function began with the unfurling of the National Flag by our chief guest Mr. Jeya kumar, BJB member followed by the patriotic renditions sung by the students and teachers which charged up the atmosphere with patriotic spirit.The “fashion show”,presented by primary students showcased the famous National leaders.Students also presented group song ,solo song and group dance,added the colour of unity and togetherness to the function.Senior students delivered the speeches in which they highlighted the joy of freedom. At the end sweets were distributed to the students.The function ended with a vote of thanks by Principal Mr.Harikirshnan and National Anthem.
DTEA organized DTEA fest on 6th August 2016 in all DTEA Schools.The objective to host the grand event was to provide a platform for the upcoming students to display their talents,to provide students with an opportunity to demonstrate independence and responsibility for their own learning,and to unite the students,teachers,parents and other members of the school community in a collaborative. Mr. Mani,old student of DTEA inaugurated the exhibition,visited each and every exhibits and appreciated the praise worthy effort of the students. The judges who evaluated the exhibits astounded by the performance of students.Each guest who walked into this attractive exhibition was left dazzled by the enchanting exhibits that revealed the praiseworthy effort of the students.
Our school celebrated the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna K.Kamaraj with befitting programmes on 15th July 2016 in the school premises. A symposium ( Kalanthuraiyadal) was presented by students of class IX Prashant,Rahul,Poovarasan,Rathipriya,Narmada,Sindhu and Divya.This was followed by speech, delivered by Parul Manhas of XI-A,Kalai Selvi of XII-A,Narmada of XI-A in Tamil,English,Hindi respectively.The whole programme was compiled by Bharathi of class XI-A.The Principal,Mr.Harikrishnan and the Vice Principal Mrs.Ranjan Gupta appreciated the students who participated in this programme.
World Population Day was observed on 11 July 2016 in the school assembly to raise awareness about global population issues. The students of class XII presented skit on the status of small and big families on the status of living. They highlighted the message that “Small family Happy family”. Kalai Selvi of class XII-A created awareness about rise in population and negative impacts of population explosion in the world countries.
The birth anniversary of renowned poet Bharathidasan was celebrated on 29.04.2016 in the school premises. The program was organised by studentof Tamil Literacy Club, D.T.E.A, Motibagh and started with homage to portrait of Pavender Bharathidasan by Mr. Hari Krishnan,Principal. Primary students paid their floral tribute to poet. A symposium was organised on topic “Bharathidasan and his life“. Sakthivel and Abishek of class VIth,Rahul, Prashant, Valli, Narmada ,andRathipriya of class IXth participated. They highlighted how he was deeply influenced by another renowned Tamil poet MahakaviSubramanian Bharathi and consequently named himself as Bharathidasan. Sheetal of class IXth read poem of “ Puthiyathor Ulagam Seyvom”(We will make a new world). Kalai Selvi of XII-A and Komal of class XII-B delivered a speech in Tamil and English respectively narrating “ Puratchi Kavingar’s work on women’s liberation, rationalism and issues like caste. The program was ended with vote of thanks by Shivani of classXII.

This day is celebrated to mark the birth and death anniversary of William Shakespeare, a famous author as decided by UNESCO. Abishek Johari of XII-B, Kalai Selvi of XII-A delivered a speech. In their speech, they highlighted the importance of reading and also emphasized how book reading enrich student’s experience , sharpen their intellectual and boost their imagination and creativity. Students of class XIth and Xth displayed placards with slogans. Principal, Sh. Harikirshnan and Vice Principal, Mrs. Ranjan Gupta encouraged the students to read books and also said that holistic growth of the children can be achieved only through reading. Mrs.Indira,TGT(Science) and Mr.Sanjay Dabas, Librarian conducted an activity on reading in order to explore the pleasures of reading books.
Our school organised special assembly to observe Martyr’s day on 30.01.2016.This day is remembered to salute the martyrdom of soldiers who lost their lives defending the sovereignty of the Nation. Teachers and Students paid homage to the father of our Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his martyrdom day as he was assassinated on this day in 1948. Students of Bharathi,Sneha Lakshmi,Abhishek,Harini , Harish,Vaishali and Uma delivered a speech on freedom fighters viz.Bharathi, ThillaiAadiValliammai,Marudu Brothers,Bhagat Singh, Janshi Rani, V.O.C and Shiv Raj Guru. A two-minute silence in memory of Indian martyrs was observed in the school at 11 AM on this day.Vice principal Mrs.Ranjan Gupta also narrated the signification of the Martyrs day.
Our school celebrated 67th Republic Day on 25.01.2016 in the school premises with the reverberation of patriotic
fervour and enthusiasm. The programme started with speech by our senior most teacher Mrs.Grija(PGT Tamil ) .
She emphasised aboutthe responsibility of students towards their duties.Our students also spoke on Republic Day
Celebration and presented various cultural activities which showed their commitment and patriotism towards
our Nation.They also tooka oath to become a loyal and responsible citizen of theNation. The functionended with
speech by Mrs. Lakshmi Mukund (PGT Hindi ).She highlighted the various aspects of Indian constitution for making
India a republic . Teachers, staff and students cheering to the slogan “Jai Hind”filled with the spirit of nationalism.
The programme concluded with recitation of National Anthem.
Our school observed the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on 23.01.2016 tomemorize his great sacrifice towards the country.KalaiSelviof 11th and Bharathi of 10th delivered a speech entitled “The Life History of Netaji” . They highlighted that he was one of the most prominent leaders of the Indian Independence Movement and also his nationalistic temperament. Students displayed the portrait of Netaji and his famous quotes/slogan like "Give me blood and I will give you freedom", “Freedom is not given, it is taken” etc. Vice Principal Mrs. Ranjan Gupta quoted the slogan “ Do or Die” and also emphasized to remember how he spread the feeling of national integration, sacrifice and communal harmony among the people.
The counselling session was held on 22.01.2016 on GeneralAwareness for classXIth about growing habits among teenagers. The resource person was D.S.Shanthi along with her two assistants. The programme started with society norms and continued toreview the dangers of smoking, drinking, and using illicit drugs.Ill effects of these habits on human life was depicted through pictures and charts. This programme created awareness among the students for “Say No to Drugs, Smoking and Alcohol”. Finally Students took oath to prove themselves as a best citizens of the country.
Thiruvalluvar day was celebrated on 16.01.2016 in our school.Special assembly was held in the memory ofimmortal Tamil Poet - Saint Thiruvalluvar.The program started with homage to portrait of Thiruvallvar by senior teacher Mrs. Girija. Abhishek of class VITH and Mohit of class XTH delivered a speech on Thiruvallvar and Harini of class VITHhighlighted the significance of Thirukkural. This is followed by Quiz competition conducted by Shivani ,president of Tamil Literacy Club ,Motibagh.Vice Principal Mrs.Ranjan Gupta distributed prizes to the winners.
The Library and Activity room for the Primary students of DTEA Motibagh was inaugurated on 26 Dec 2015. The chief guest was Shri.A.R.Ramanathan, well known architect of Delhi. He is an alumnus of DTEA Lakshmi Bai Nagar. He also designed the initial plans for the proposed 8th DTEA coming up in MayurVihar. Shri. R. Subramanian, Market Research consultant was guest of honour. He is also an alumnus of DTEA Lakshmi Bai Nagar. He is actively involved in the welfare of our schools. .The function started at 12.30 with a Prayer song. After ribbon cutting the traditional lamp was lit by the chief guests, Mr. Sooriyanarayanan, President, DTEA, Mrs. Ranjan Gupta, Vice Principal and Dr. A.R. Indira, senior teacher, who has set up the library. This occasion was also graced by senior Principal, Mrs.Mythili, teachers from all other DTEAs, Members of the Governing Body.The room, books and games were highly appreciated by one and all.
The first constitution day was observed in the school assembly on 26th November 2015 to bring awareness among the students . As it was the day of 26th November 1949 that Indian Constitution was adopted and finally it was enforced on 26th January 1950. To mark this occasion our school conducted a special assembly. Student of class Xth performed the process of making constitution where the student enacted as Dr.Rajender Prasad , Dr.B.R.Ambhedkar ,S.Baldev Singh ,Mrs.Sarojni Naidu etc. Quiz competition on “Constitution” was conducted for class XIthstudents and essay writing competition for class XIthand XIIth. Prizes were distributed by senior teachers to the winners . Our Vice Principal, Mrs. Ranjan Gupta appreciated and encouraged the students for their tremendous performance.
Special assembly was conducted on 14th November 2015 to mark the birth anniversary of Pt.Jawaharlal Nehru , India’s first Prime Minister . During the assembly students performed various events . The programme started with dance performance by classesVIIth-VIIIth .This was followed by a Tamil skit by students of classes VIth-IXth .Magic show was shown by Mahalaxmi of class VIth. Abhishek of class XIthpresented a role play on poem “ If I am a great personality “ and speech was given by Vaishnavi of class XIIth .Teachers ,Mrs.Sandhaya and Mrs.Gurpreet highlighted the importance of “ Cleanliness and proper uniform” by acting as teacher and student respectively.On this day various inter house competitions were conducted such as Greeting card making, poster making on festivals of India, Candle , Pot and salad decorations, Mehndi and Rangoli making competition. Prizes were distributed by seniorteachers to those students who outshined well . Vice principal, Mrs.Ranjan Gupta encouraged and appreciated the effort of both teachers and students .
Anti cracker Rally was organised in our school by eco club teachers and students on 7th November 2015. Our school Vice Principal Mrs.Ranjan Gupta emphasised about the harmful effects of bursting crackers .Students made colourful placards with various slogans like “Say No To Crackers “ etc. to inculcate a sense of duty towards the society with which we can lead a better life .
Students of XIIth(Arts )visited Parliament museum and also attended the Parliament Lok Sabha session along with their teachers Mrs .Sandhaya and Mrs. Gurpreet .They also visited RakabGunjGurudwara to know more about the practices of Sikhism .The visit enhanced the knowledge of students
Our school students of D.T.E.A.,Motibagh participated “QUIZ WHIZ”-2015 on 29.10.2015,held at ITS Engineering college,Greater Noida. The following team of three student successfully reached semi finals in this event. They were YashJoon,Abhishek Johari of XI-B and Shubham Joshi of XII-B. 140 schools of NCR participated in the event in the preliminary round of inter school and a team of 18 were selected for semi finals.Its great that DTEA,Motibagh was also one of the proudest team.They also won two prizes as audience award.This victory of three students was among 2100 students. Our school celebrated World Handwashing Day on October 15, 2015 in the school campus.This day is celebrated to raise awareness of handwashing with soap as a key approach to disease prevention. The awareness campaign started with speech delivered by senior students on theme “Raise a hand for hygiene”.The school Head Girl Rebecca of class XII –B demonstrated the steps to effective handwashing with soap. Students also took oath to maintain hygiene. Students made posters with key messages in Tamil and English, reminding the students of the critical times(for example, after using the toilet, before eating food) of hand-washing as a simple and effective way to prevent disease transmission and save lives. Our Vice Principal Mrs. Ranjan Gupta, emphasised children to focus on hygiene and asked them to learn the habit of hand washing and live without fear of disease.The event ended with hand washing of primary students.

The programme started with speech delivered by Yash Joon of class XI B .He emphasized to develop an environment friendly attitude for green life style and green future and also insisted to follow simple practices in our daily life ie. 3Rs (REDUCE,REUSE AND RECYCLE).This is followed by speech delivered by Komal Rana of class XI B. She highlighted why do we celebrate Animal day and alsoto acknowledge the diverse roles of animals in our life. Mayank Kumar Gola of class XI B conducted “QUIZ” on topic ‘ENDAGERED ANIMAL ‘. The students and staff of our School celebrated Hindi Diwas on 14th October 2015 in the school assemblyto mark the importance of the country’s most widely spoken language .On this day in 1949,the constituent Assembly of India had adopted Hindi written in Devanagari script as the official language of the Republic of India.A special assembly marked the occasion with a speech by Mrs.LakshmiMukund,PGT (Hindi). Internationally this day is celebrated as international Day of Non – Violence as Gandhi was the preacher of non-violence. On this occasion,our school Tamil literacy club organiseddebate on topic ” world Peace”. Abhishek , Sakthivel, Harini of class VIth and Sneha Lakshmi of classVIIth participated . They highlighted the Gandiyan principles of Truth,Peace and Non-violence.This is followed by speech , delivered by Kalaiselvi of class XI-A ,Secretary ,Tamil Literacy club. Our school conducted Special celebration to honour Dr.SarvepalliRadhakrishnan and to encourage the contribution of teachers to the society.The celebration started witha routine prayer, and also with special presentation on Janmashtami by a students of class XII-A. The students made special arrangement to honour the staff members of the school.The students of class XII presented two songs in praise of teachers and expressed their commitments to bring laurel to the school. On this occasion, school students council Heads and Vice-Heads were announced for the academic session 2015-16.After the special assembly ,Students assembled to view Honorable Prime minister Sh. NarendraModi’sspeach/interaction with students from all over the country. After lunch ,The students of class XII who dressed up as teachers took the role of their favorite teachers and handled the classes. By doing so, they got a hands –on experience and realized how it feels to be a teacher. Alongside a debate was organized by students on topic “ Are Computers –Digital world replacing the Teachers”. They placed great arguments and finally the judgment was given in favour of teachers by the Judge-Ms.Shivani. The whole session was recorded by a special team from press and the same was shown in NEWS 7 channel also. On the whole ,the day was used well by the teachers, student-teachers for un-earthling their hidden talent and to get encouraged with PM’S speech. Our school celebrated National Sports Day on 29.08.2015 in the school campus.. This day is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of legendary hockey player of India,Major Dhyan Chand . We celebrated this day by organizing friendly matches like Volley ball and Kho-kho among senior and junior students. This programme was organized by Sh.Naresh Bargav, PET teacher .This sports meet was declared open by our senior most teacher Mrs.LakshmiMukund.This day helped to raise the profile of sport and inculcated a sportsman spirit in the students.
Our school celebratedThiru.V.KalyanaSundaram Birth Anniversary on 26.08.2015 in the school special assembly.He was a Tamil scholar ,essayist , activist and better known by his Tamil initial Thiru.V.Ka. This programme was organized by Tamil Literacy Club and started by Ms.Shivani of classXI ,president of Tamil Literacy Club. On this occasion , Our school Vice Principal Mrs.Ranjan Gupta distributed prizes to those students who participated in Tamil competition, held on 25.08.2015.She also encouraged the students to participate in all competitions. The overall program was compiled by Ms.KalaiSelvi, secretary of Tamil Literacy club.
ITS Noida conducted quiz competition on 21.08.2015 for the students of class XIth and XIIth.This was on the spot competition where students were given written QUIZ for 35minutes.Out of entire branches, five students got selected with good score. YashJoon of XIB(1st position) was awarded cash 1000/= with certificate, AbhishekJohari of XIB(2nd position) was awarded cash 700/= with certificate and Shubam Joshi of XIIB(3rd position) was awarded cash 1000/= with certificate. Two students got consolation prizes.
Our school organized special assembly on 20th August 2015 to observe the Birth Anniversary of late Prime Minister of India, Sh.Rajiv Gandhi as "Sadbhavana Diwas". Students and Teachers took oath to promote National Integration and communal harmony among the people of all religions and languages. Senior Teachers motivated the student to maintained discipline and also highlighted that discipline is the act of enjoying life following some rules and regulations. Discipline is everything which we do in the right way in right time. It leads us on the right path.
Our school celebrated the 69thIndependence day with great gaiety & .patriotic fervor on 14th August 2015.The school was aesthetically decorated with tricolor. The chief guest of the day wasMr. Sundaresan , American Indian Foundation.The programme began with unfurling of National Flag followed by Flag song .Chief guest emphasized the students to excel in academic and also motivated them to make use of facility provided by the school. students delivered speech about the importance of the Independence Day and expressed their emotions through songs. Skit was presented in Tamil by the students of different classes to commemorate the freedom struggle.The flag ceremony came to close with a vote of thanks by Vice Principle Mrs.Ranjan Gupta.
Our school organized special assembly on 6th August 2015 to mark the devastation of Hiroshima & Nagasaki with deadly atomic attack by America during World War II .Students and Teacher paid their tribute to those who lost their lives in the bombing. Soni Bhist of XI ,Bhumika of IX delivered a speech and highlighted the devastations and the aftermath effects of the atomic bombing and emphasized the necessity for World Peace.
As per the direction of SPO(RCH),DFW,the demonstration of activity on” Safe Hand Hygiene Practices” before mid day meal was conducted by Medical Officer Incharge of health centers. Students of class 6th to 8th participated along with their teachers.

Our school celebrated the birth day of the “Perunthalaivar Kamarajar”on 15th July 2015 in the school premises. A symposium was organized on the topic “ Kamarajar and his service “. Harini and Sakthivel of class VI , Prashanth and Rahul Khanna of class VIII participated .They highlighted how Shri. Kamaraj brought education revolution and introduced free mid day-meal scheme in the schools .Bharthi of class X , Abhishek of class VI , Radhika Yogi of class XI delivered a speech in Tamil and English respectively .Our school Vice Principal, Mrs.Ranjan Gupta emphasized how Kamarajar was known for his simplicity and integrity .She also applauded the students who participated in this programme.

The drill on fire safety was conducted on 15.07.2015 at 10:30 am in the school premises . The entire school was evacuated and assembled at the assembly ground .Subsequently , student attendance was updated .The students were made to aware about Do’s and Don’t’s . Guidelines for the behavior during mock drill were given . The drill was conducted successfully.
The world red cross day was celebrated on 8th May 2015 in our school premises .It is the day celebrating the principles of “International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement “ .Students of VII th class sung a song in which they highlighted the importance of donating blood. Speeches were delivered by senior class students.
